When I was in 8th grade, on February 2, 2009 my brother committed suicide. He was 16 years old and a junior in high school. It is important that people are aware of warning signs but, sometimes they are not there. That was the case with my brother and I’m sure for many other cases. I am currently a junior in high school and I’m able to finish something my brother never got to do. I also talk to the underclassmen, during their Health class, and tell them about my story and for them to be aware of what/how they say things. It’s important for people to know that there are people who go through this and that if you have, you’re not alone. I also say how if anyone is feeling that low they need to talk to someone because they may not see it but, people who love them will miss them very much. My condolences to anyone who has lost someone to suicide like I have.
